Job Description

We are looking for a motivated intern to work with a European deeptech startup team. You
will be responsible for researching and implementing cutting edge machine learning
algorithms using simulated data. You will work with simulators and get to experience
building a data management pipeline for real world robotics applications.
The internship is being offered by Dehqaan AI and will be based in Islamabad, Pakistan.

About the Startup Team

Automatika Robotics is on a mission to develop the intelligence layer of robotics, enabling
machines to better understand and navigate the world. We are developing a novel
navigation technology that allows robots to navigate human-populated and unstructured
spaces naturally. Automatika is supported by Inria (premier research institute in France for
informatics and AI) and Techstars (one of the world’s biggest tech accelerators).

Responsibilities

• Research and implement ML algorithms for robotic perception.
• Work with simulators to generate data. Create a data generation and storage
pipeline.
• Identify and apply best practices for data processing, cleaning and normalization for
data collected from multiple sources.

Requirements

• Current Bachelors of (final year) Engineering, Masters or PhD student in Computer
Science, Robotics or related fields.
• Strong programming skills in Python and C++
• Experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch

Optional

• Experience with scene creation in Blender, Unity or Unreal is a strong plus
